About Us
The Voice of Newark is the brainchild of Richard Tyndall and Peter Foster, two Newark residents who are deeply concerned about both the way decisions are being made in their town and the overall way in which the town and district are run. Neither of us are members of, or affiliated with, any political party and do not see the site as favouring any individual party or politician. Our concern is that the ordinary people of Newark have a conduit through which they can make their views known to the politicians and bureaucrats and can unite to take some sort of meaningful action where they feel their wishes and aspirations are being ignored.
Richard Tyndall is a Consultant Geologist and director of Coritani Geological Services. He has lived in Newark since he was four and attended the Chuter Ede and Grove Schools in Balderton. He is Chairman of FARI Archaeology and writes on both archaeology and military history for various publications.
Peter Foster is an PI Assistant for Curry's Distribution and Director of ScreenTek Designs Ltd. He has lived in Newark since 1986. He was previously Secretary and Website Co-ordinator of FARI Archaeology and as since been re-appointed as Website Coordinator of FARI Archaeology. Peter also created and maintains FARI Archaeology and Voice of Newark Websites.
There are other regular contributors to this site but we leave it to them to decide whether or not they wish to add their CV to these pages.
